The bulk of my web design business is based on designing sites in Wordpress. It's a free open source content management system that is among the most powerful on the market and almost infinately expandable via plugins - everything from full-featured e-commerce to user forums to dynamic photo galleries and on down the line. For clients who are constantly adding content. I recomend Wordpress since it's a breeze for even a total novice to update and maintain once it is set up. This is a very good thing because it means long term my clients can update their own websites without having to pay someone else to do it for them.
For clients who would prefer to have someone else handle updates and revisions to their site on an ongoing basis, I am available as a Webmaster and have a variety of pricing plans available to suit your needs and budget. Contact me for more information.
I can also built sites using Gallery 2, Zencart and a range of other Open-Source applications, depending on the client and their needs. I can also work with proprietary applications and scripts as needed.
Or, if you just want a simple static page, I can build in straight HTML or SHTML. For my HTML sites I design in Photoshop and then do my coding in Dreamweaver using CSS. HTML is ideal for small sites, if you're going to have more then 20 pages I strongly recomend Wordpress.
I can also create custom skins for MySpace and other social networking sites.
I do not work in Flash, but if you have pre-existing flash elements I can embed them into your site.
Print Design Services
I have over a decade of experience in Photoshop, and I worked professionally for two different large publishing companies before starting my independant practice in 2006. I can do everything from basic photo touch-up and editing to full-fledged layout projects. For print design I generally use Photoshop and Quark X-Press.
