Prices: Non-profits and Community Organizations
I strongly believe in activism and organizing and do my best to support causes and organizations working on issues I believe in. If you are a community-based grassroots organization that is working on issues related to enviornmentalism, global warming, social justice, prison abolition, workers rights, human rights, civil rights, feminism, indiginous sovereignity, school reform, or other related campaigns there's a very good chance that I'll be willing to work on your site for a reduced rate.
I charge on a sliding scale, determined by a few different factors including:
- Type of organization
- Your financial resources
- The issue(s) your addressing and how your addressing them
- My own totally subjective biases about how social change works and how effective I think you are likely to be.
The high end of that scale is the same as my commercial rate - $40/hour. That can go all the way down to Free, depending on the factors listed above. Use the contact form to send a description of your organization and request more information and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
If you have everything organized and ready to go turnaround is typically 1-2 weeks, depending on the project. Again, this is flexible, I've completed projects in as little as 48 hours. Completion time depends mostly on the client and the project. I do not provide domain registration or hosting services but can recomend a variety of different hosts to suit your specific needs and budget.
